Job Description

The Senior Crew Executive will oversee the planning, execution and monitoring of Crewing activities. The position will be responsible for day to day crew department operations, communication and supervision of Recruitment and Placement agents, seafarers’ employment, remuneration, training and development, whilst participating in strategy for meeting fleet manning needs.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Implement and, where necessary, improve company’s recruitment and deployment procedures for Greek and Philippine seafarers
  • Maintain and enhance company’s pool of seafarers
  • Monitor and report company’s crew department performance, including monitoring, measuring and reporting department’s KPIs
  • Support long term planning and propose incentives and strategies for the department
  • Ensure compliance with national and international laws, standards and rules & regulations
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of all Recruitment and Placement Agents used

Job Requirements

Eligible candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (i.e. Maritime Operations/ Ship Management, Business Administration, Business Economics). Sea going experience to Master Mariner level will be considered as an additional asset
  • Ten (10) or more years’ in crew management experience, ideally with Greek officers and Filipino crews
  • Excellent knowledge of MLC, STCW, TMSA 3 and national requirements in the recruitment of seafarers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Danaos software experience
  • Very fluent in both written and spoken English
